Stirling BC Turns 10!
It’s cheers all round at Stirling BC: this month we’re celebrating 10 years in business!

At this momentous milestone, we take a moment to look back. From its beginnings in the Global Financial Crisis, to the business you see today, we’ve managed to pack a lot into the last decade. “It hasn’t always been easy, but it has definitely been a lot of fun,” David said.
There have been many highlights over the years, but here’s a handful:
Becoming a two-man band
After observing a gradual increase in demand for services, David decided to expand the business in 2012 by bringing on another worker. Anna started out with the company as a contractor, then progressed to a permanent employee, and she is now a co-director and vital part of the business. “I’m so thankful that I let David know I was moving on from my previous job, which set the wheels in motion for joining Stirling BC. I not only gained a fantastic job and future, but a mentor and true friend as well,” Anna said.
Practising what we preach
We decided in late 2013 that it was time to increase controls around production and the business at large, and what better way to do that than implementing our own ISO 9001 quality management system? “We’ve really improved our production process and business at large by implementing our QMS,” David said. “It’s also great that our clients see that we walk the walk, not just talk the talk.”
I’ve been everywhere, man
Our client visits have allowed us to see a large swathe of this beautiful country – and beyond – over the years. We’ve popped to Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and the other capitals regularly, and spent a lot of time in our beautiful home state of Queensland, with some of our favourite regular jobs being located in the Whitsundays, Hervey Bay, Rockhampton and Emu Park, and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. But we’ve also been lucky enough to head outside of the major centres – such as Diamantina Shire, Tamworth, the Channel Country, the Granite Belt, and the Central Highlands – and even over to Papua New Guinea on occasion.
Personal connections
Last but not least, we’ve met some wonderful people: our clients, and of course the great certification company staff who we see at audits. It’s always lovely to see a friendly and familiar face on our visits, and we are thankful for the enduring relationships that have resulted. In fact, we’re proud to say we’ve been working with some auditors for the entire 10 years, and that our very first ever client still engages us for assistance with their management system – so needless to say, we’re very grateful for all the wonderful people we have met over the years.
As for us, we’re celebrating this momentous occasion in one of our favourite ways: with a bottle or two of our very own custom labelled wine. Clients, keep an eye out: we’ll be slipping you a bottle as a token of our appreciation when we see you next.
So from David and Anna at Stirling BC, cheers to the past 10 years – we’re looking forward to the next 10 being even better. And if you’d like, check out a few snapshots from the past 10 years below.
